So God decided to make little red ‘flowers’ bloom in late winter on whatever type of lichen/fungus this is. How insignificant is fungus in the grand scheme of life? Let alone what it looks like. And why spend the extra time to decorate it? I don’t know, but God did. He chose to spend the time.
What does that tell you about Him and his capacity and drive to be creative? Have you ever caught yourself adding a small finishing touch to something you’ve made and said to yourself, ‘no one will ever notice that detail’? Or maybe you even felt guilty about taking the extra time.
No one may notice it (certainly not your husband), but the God who chose to put red tips on the end of my fence post fungi will, and He loves your desire to create because He put it in you. Use your gift!
